ASSOCIATION The association: Bourke Cotton Growers
Association was established to advance the interests of the Bourke Cotton Growing
industry and the broader community of which we are a part. Our
Mission Policy: To achieve excellence in cotton growing in the bourke region
and to be recognised as an integral part of the community. To achieve grower
awareness and quzlity discussion of current and future issues. To achieve
full grower participation in the association. To berecognised as a region
committed to BMP ( Best Management Practice). How we service
our members: We make available a forum and encourage discussion amongst
our members. Also we provide representation to government and industry bodies.
Along with our business represenation pursuits we provide a means of social interaction
within our community. Our Committment to the Surrounding
Community: We have supplied $20,000.00 annually in sponsorship of community
projects. Also have instigated research into the ecology of our land and river
systems. Our association is keen to have total valley commitment to BMP, sustainalbe
resource utilisation and implementation of best practice in all areas. Bourke
Cotton Growers Association meets on the 1st Wednesday of every 2nd month (i.e.
