The Australian Cotton Growers Research Association Inc. is a grower- based industry body which was set up in 1972 to administer research in the industry before the introduction of the Cotton Research Committee, and ultimately the Cotton Research and Development Corporation (CRDC).

The membership of ACGRA is made up of grower representatives of all the major cotton processing organisations, together with representatives of the Cotton Grower Associations and the seed companies.

The ACGRA secretariat is based at Cotton Seed Distributors Ltd. at Wee Waa.

ACGRA receives no current grower or outside financial assistance and operates on finance from interest on , or liquidation of past investments.
